During my recent escape to Val D'Or Estate, my husband and I experienced a blend of luxury and comfort that justifies the price. The spacious suite provided ample room, featuring a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle—a great touch for brewing tea after a day of wine tasting in Franschhoek. The underfloor heating kept the space cozy despite a chilly evening. Breakfast was wholesome and catered to dietary restrictions, showcasing attention to detail. The serene location, away from the external noise, offered stunning mountain views, albeit with some bug activity near the pool. A friendly staff ensured we had everything we needed, from an ice bucket to laundry services. In an area where many lodges can feel overwhelming, Val D'Or balances luxury with value, making it a prudent choice for travelers. Highly recommended.
